Kenmore washer agitates but won't spin, motor hums, lid switch OK.
I have an older Kenmore washer, 70 series. It fills and agitates then quits at the spin cycle, the motor gives a low hum. I by passed the lid switch and it does the same thing. Another question/advice thread mentioned that the drive belt maybe bad, but my model doesn't appear to have a belt at all.. it look likes its some sort of direct drive thing. Any help out there?
    Thanks!
