Name on home loan not on home title
Hello, my name is on a bank loan for a house but the title is in the name of a sibling. This sibling is going to file bankruptcy. What happens to me in this case? I have also allowed my sibling to use my credit cards and I do not have the means to pay them myself. Any advice is appreciated!

Well, if you do not have the means to pay your credit cards (and make no mistake... they are yours and NOT affected at all by his BK) then you will need to make arrangements with the credit card companies.

As for the house... how is it possible that you are on the loan for a house but not the deed?

It is very possible that something illegal was done if you have a loan on a house in one name and the deed is on another name. Is the loan company aware of this, did the loan company get notified when you changed the deed from your name to thiers.

But it is very easy, when they go bankrupt they don't owe the money, but any loan or note that your name is on, you will still owe. So you will have to pay all of the bills or perhaps consider going bankrupt yourself
