    Circuit breaker stuck in middle
My heat pump will run for a little bit then start blowing cold air, the circuit breaker is sitting in the middle, won't turn on or off while the heat is on the thermostat. If I turn off the thermostat I can reset the circuit breaker to off or on. Is that a problem with the breaker itself or the heat pump:confused:

If this circuit breaker is in your main electric panel you should be able to turn it off or on at any time.

A circuit breaker is merely a switch basic ( not accounting for the "breaker" part of it, it should turn off and on with or without power going though it. If it is not working properly, there is a issue but you may want a qualified electrican to review the problem with the power supply and to check the system
