    mind boggling philiosophy
Hey, this is my first philosophy essay and it has wrecked my head.? I know, I shouldn't have taken the subject. Ok this essay is extremely late and I have only done 301 words out of 1500 and I'm very stuck. :( OK here goes "why are the distinctions between knowledge and belif so important to philosophy?" I must mention, Plato, Descartes, (Cogito Ergo Sum etc.), Aristotle, and socrates. Could some body please throw in a few Ideas and suggestions,

Contemporary epistomology suggests that knowledge is true, justified belief.

Essentially this suggests that in knowing A, I must believe A, A has to be true and finally I must be
    Justified in asserting A.
Finding these sentiments in the works that you mention might be of help.
PS The only citeria that is not possibly straightforeward is the justification aspect. Clearly one can not assert to know advanced set theory unless they are versed in mathematical discourse.

Endure the pain - epistomology is cool

Belief is that you believe that you have acquired the knowledge,
Knowledge is the recognition that what u believed isn't that true?
