OK to disconnect A/C in Ford Explorer?
I have 2000 Explorer and have had it replaced twice, worked on 4 times in a time span of just over 2 years- needless to say I am not happy. I am wondering if it is possible to remove circuit breaker for compressor, etc. and just run without it. I live in cool climate and am willing to live with no a/c, just want to make sure it wouldn't damage anything else.

    It shouldn't be a problem.

You could simply unplug the compressor clutch, right near the compressor itself.
There is a connector near the back of the compressor. Unplug it and secure it away from the clutch and belt.
