    Noisey pipes
    Hi guys,
Hope someone can help! On Monday my pipes in the ceiling above my living room (my bedroom floor), started groaning and a slight banging, this noise sounds like dragging furniture on a wooden floor ending with a bang! It was happening once an hour or so and now is getting louder and every 8 minutes ( not that I'm counting! ) the heating isn't on and I'm not running any water. I have checked that there is no air in the radiator upstairs and I have tried running the hot tank empty, but the noise is still there!

Any ideas please, I can't spend another night awake listening to the noise.

    Thanks

What type of heating do you have? Steam or hot water? Back to you, Tom

It's water heating, the thing is it doesn't seem to be as bad if the heating is on. Shell
