What is the radius of the following?
At an amusement park there is a ride in which cylindrically shaped chambers spin around a central axis. People sit in seats facing the axis, their backs against the outer wall. At one instant the outer wall moves at a speed of 3.41 m/s, and an 55.3-kg person feels a 242-N force pressing against his back. What is the radius of a chamber?

    Hi, africa90!

You'll be much more likely to have someone knowledgeable come along to help you, if you would post what you have already done to answer homework questions here. If students were just simply given the answers without knowing how to come up with the correct answers, how would that be helping them to learn?

Also, please click on the following link concerning how to ask homework questions on this site.
