    Marble shower job done wrong
We had marble shower installed 4 years ago. After just 6 months of use it began to leak on the lower level. Now it leaks so bad that we can no longer use use it. We attempted to find a contractor to do the job but they all refuse, claiming the job is too big and the entire shower has to be redone. Our original contractor is out of the picture. We want to know what is the correct way of installing a marble shower (specifically the floor), we are not planning on doing the job ourselves, but we do want to oversee that it's done correctly.
    Thanks:rolleyes:

You could probably get away with replacing the entire floor anda couple of courses of tile going up the wall. Enough of the original material would need to be remove to include the curb.

Marble shower? Do you mean a custom tile shower or is the enclosure really slab marble? Has anyone determined what's leaking? The drain? The area where the stream hits? Tell me what's been done to localize this problem. Back to you, Tom
