    Rental property
I am looking to rent a house, but would like to find out if the house is in foreclosure before I look at it. What are my rights as a renter when looking at the house, can I ask the owner if they are behind on their payments. Or is there a way I can research this. I just don't want to rent a house then have to move out shortly after
    Thanks JD

You can ask any questions you would like but that doesn't mean the owner is going to give you an answer or a straight answer.

You can always check the Town and County records to see if taxes are paid up to date as well as check your local Court to see if a foreclosure action is pending.
