Replace Sealand toilet with traditional toilet. In home install
I purchased a home that has three Sealand toilets installed in the bathrooms. They look like toilets that should only be used on a boat. The previous owner was very "green minded" and I am sure he thought these to be real water savers. But, I hate them, they smell and they leak. I want to install a regular ol' flush toilet. Can I just pull out the sealand and replace? Is there other plumbing required to make this change?

    Thanks!

Depending on which model of SeaLand toilet you have. They are 10 1/4" on center and 11 1/2" on center. But in both cases, you can replace it with regular Low Flush toilet. In case you have 10 1/4" rough than you purchase 10" rough toilet. The 11 1/2" will accept most toilets on today's market.

SeaLand toilets use Closet Ring with 4 bolts. You will remove 1 set of bolts and use the other set to attach regular toilet. Water inlet should be on left side of the toilet and behind it.

One more thing: SeaLand toilets require lot less side-to-side space than regular toilet. Make sure you have at least 15" on each side measured from the center of the Closet Ring.
