    No drain in basement
    Hello,

My 1950 sidesplit is quite small and currently has a combined bathroom, laundry room, mudroom. I would like to relocate my laundry facilities to the basement however no drain exists down there. I believe that this house was once on a septic system and then converted to sewers but we don't know where the sewer lines lie. There is a sump pump well in the basement currently with nothing inside it.

I understand I could put the laundry down there and have the washer drain into a double laundry tub and then get pumped out over the drop ceiling in the basement playroom and tied into the existing plumbing in the current laundry/bathroom.

Is this advisable or am I looking for trouble?
What kind of pump would I need? How much $$?

    Thank you
    Lisa

Contact the company for cost. Good luck, Tom
