Kenmore electric dryer will not start

I have a Kenmore electric dryer, Model 86193100. It either will not start at all or will run a couple seconds, then stop. What could be the reason?

My dryer starts just fine but will stop within minutes and won't restart for 30 minutes or more, then repeats. It heats and turns just fine. I changed the thermostat but that didn't help.
