    State Select Water Heater PR650NBRT
I have a 6 year old State Select Water Heater model PR650NBRT. The pilot will light but the gas does not turn on. Would this still be covered under warranty? Any suggestions on what the problem is?

    Thanks!

Read your warranty papers to see what is covered and what not. Looking at the model number, it looks like your heater is 6 years old so you may be running out of time. Call them ASAP...

It seems to me like the thermostat is not working properly. It should be covered by warranty. However, if it is, they will probably send you the replacement part and you have to hire your own plumber to install it.
