balanced oxidation equation for dimethoxyphenyl isothiocyanate
how would you write the balanced oxidation equation for C9H9NO2S? I no that it combusts with oxygen and that two of the products are SO2 and NO and that the two other products are usually water and carbondioxide but I just can't figure out how 2 balance that equation

I guess you mean complete oxidation, combustion, and I am taking your products for I've never come across such a reaction.

Well, I think that's OK now. I always try to balance the carbon, then the hydrogen, using fractions if necessary. Then, multiply the whole equation to remove the fractions. You can count to see if I left no mistakes.

    I hope it helped! :)
