    Getting back suport while the father was in prison
    Is it possible to receive any back support from a father who spent 7 years in prison and paid nothing and still pays nothing and now seems to have all kinds of money to remodel his home.

    Was there a child support order in place? If so, the amount kept accumulating. If there was not, back support is not owed.

    If he has not paid any support and has money to remodel his home you need to bring him before a Judge and have some support money paid monthly. Contact your local Child Support Office if he is in arrears and they will take him to court on your behalf. Nothing will be done unless you start the ball rolling.
