    Hot water from cold tap
    Hello,

Recently I have started gettign hot water from cold tap although nothing has changed with plumbing lately. I am suspecting pricefister shower control valve as it (just one valve) controls both hot and cold water to adjust temperature. I have read few post on this topic, but I would like to know how to troubleshoot it to identify the cause. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for trying to understand my problem.. well, I have noticed is that the hot water from hot tap is not as hot as it used to be earlier - though it's definitely not cold.

Harold's wondering if you have the hot and cold reversed. I'm wondering if there's a problem with the cartridge. Shut the water off to the valve and remove the cartridge. Check and clean the inlet ports. Now turn the water back on to flush out the valve body. Reassemble and test. If that didn't help replace the cartridge. Good luck, Tom

Bob (Harold) also thinks the same. If it's a Moen or Delta the replacement is free

    Bob,
Prasax has already stated that it's a Price Pfister. Regards, Tom
