    Furnace Blower motor
I have a home that was built 6 years ago, the blower motor on the furnace was buzzing on start-up, last year it finally locked up so I had it replaced last Feb 2009, now the new motor is making the same buzzing sound. I had the AC tech come back out and realized it was pulling 15+ amps at start-up, but couldn't figure out why this was happening. Now I am afraid the motor will prematurely wear out and there goes another $600. Any ideas?

Did the tech install the replacment motor? If so it may still be under warranty.

Furnace blower motor not working [ 1 Answers ]

My blower motor will not turn on. When the switch is on there is a buzzing sound but the motor will not turn on. I checked to see if the fan would turn freely and it does. It stopped working right after we had basically overloaded our amperage (60amp service) with A/C, dryer, and hair dryer...

Effect of too much oil on furnace blower motor [ 9 Answers ]

I "probably" added too much oil to the 2 oil tubes on sears fifteen gas furnace. The blower unit operates, but seems to have become louder with the last oiling. Since the blower runs, what is the worst that can happen ? I can live with the noise ( which seems to be decreasing daily ) . Thx
