    Children's Story Book about Bears
I am trying to trace a children's story book that was around in the 1960s. It was about a litte Brown Bear who didn't want to take a bath and sat in the bathroom with his paw in the water pretending. He also got itchy poison ivy poisoning. It had colour pictures on every page and I think it was probably American. I have searched loads of bookseller sites but just can't find it. My daughter remembers my mum reading it to her and now wants it for her daughter. Any help would be really appreciated! Jacqui

Was it Little Bear? There are a couple different books that feature him as the main character, they're written by Maurice Sendak, I absolutely love them, I used to read them to my son when he was little, I've kept them all. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your help! I eventually found it yesterday after trawling through loads of stuff online. It was called "Sly Bear Hasty Bear and Too Little Bear" by Kathryn B Jackson and it was written in 1960! I am thrilled as I have managed to order a copy of it on,ine for my granddaughter. Jacqui

I have this memory in my childhood of a movie that either my daycare or music teacher played. It was with two men dressed in fuzzy bear suits that met a girl in her backyard playground. There's a motif of a floating rainbow stick, her dog following it, a coloring book, a magic slide, and a musical...
