    Re-ignite pilot light on Ideal RS 440 boiler
    Boiler has been off for about a month and a new gas meter was installed. Have now tried to re-ignite pilot light, but can't hear any gas coming through - have checked gas hob and this is working okay. Pleas help

    Probably have air trapped in the gas line. There should be a union connection near the boiler. Loosen this or remove the cap of the drip leg and let some gas out. This will purge the line of the air. Then try pilot light. You could just hold the pilot light knob down but that would take a very long time to let the air out.
