Replacement Globes for Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan
My wife purchased a Hampton Bay Ceiling fan in 2008. It is a black/stainless steel design. The problem that we are having are the globes, which are oval and they have a frosted tint, making the kitchen lighting too dark to read anything. Where can I find replacement lighting globes for this type of ceiling fan. I would like to locate clear globes for the unit.

Hampton Bay sounds like Home Depot. Try there. Often those globes can be gotten at a decent lighting supply store. Try that too.

Do you know the model of the fan, or have a picture of it? Some globes are generic and easily replaced, others are specific and have to be ordered from the manufacturer.

Try bringing one of the dark globes to a lighting or hardware store.
