I know that I was adopted. I don't know the names of either biological parent but do have a birth certificate that shows where I was born and when. The parents listed are the adopted parents and the birth certificate is dated 6 months after I was born. How do I get information of the mother who gave birth from me. It was in the state of Texas who is telling me that my vital records are closed and I have to come to Texas and go to court to release them Is there another way?

If you have a closed adoption, you might be out of luck.

There is a sticky at the top of this thread that has the main ways to start a search.

However--getting your vital records released is a VERY rare thing, and is usually ONLY done for medical emergencies.
