    Trane R410A Unit qualities
:confused:We had outdoor condensing unit and TXV changed to a new R410A Refrigerant, what are the perks of this unit? I have heard of newer units being energy efficient, a cylce that runs at a lower speed when house is already cooled?

I hope they changed your indoor coil to one that was rated for R-410A since your new unit operates at a higher pressure. Not changing the indoor coil is a huge mistake since your new unit will not be giving you the energy efficiency that you paid for. The coil for R-410A are much larger which produces higher efficiencys. The old coil will allow cooling BUT at a decrease in SEER rate.

Most R-410A units are 13SEER or above which is required today. As far as your unit is concerned you will have to check with the person who sold you the item since there are many different models available and some of them do operate differently7
