    Stuck bath tap
Hi, first time on here and don't want to sound too silly!

We have a bath at home where the hot tap was running very slowly and would take up to half an hour to run a bath... Now however the tap can be turned only half way with a dribble coming out that's all.

Is it the washer ? Or can anyone shed any light before I get a plumber round?

    Many Thanks

I am assuming you have 2 handle faucet: Yes, most likely it is loose washer. Close water to the whole house, remove stem, replace washer, reinstall stem, turn water back ON. That should do...

You may also have debris inside your faucet, especially if it is faucet with cartridge. In this case, remove cartridge, clean it, and reinstall.

This may help. (see image) Remove stem and washer assembly and replace washer if necessary. While the valve's still open turn on the hot water to flush out the supply. You should see a strong stream. If not on back and tell me about it. Good luck, Tom
