    Mini daschund house training
I am the owner of a mini daschund. She is just over a year old, I've had her for about 10 months and we love her to death. But we've not been able to train her to consistently use the bathroom outside. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm just so frustrated. Our latest and most unseccesfull attempt has been to put her on a feeding schedule. She did really well with this for a few weeks and I thought we were on our way. But she has regressed. She pees anywhere and everywhere. My furniture is ruined, she jumps on my daughters bed and pees. She'll go outside and then come back in and pee or poop immediately. We've tried puppy pads, again that worked for awhile but are now useless. I have a room I keep her in during the day while we are gone and she doesn't make a mess.
We walk her usually about every other day for at least 20 minutes.
Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I'll start with her schedule if that's Ok.
We take her out first thing in the morning for about 15 minutes. Let her in for water and breakfast then she goes out again about 15 minutes later for another 15-20 minutes. She spends the next 4-5 hours in "her room" while my daughter is at school. When my daughter gets home she lets her out again, brings her in feeds her and then out again. Once I get home on or both of us walks her, she usually poops and pees during her walk. Once home she has an evening meal and then out again. She's usually only out for about 15 minutes. We say go potty over and over again. If she does we praise her like crazy. There are times when she's out and we don't stay out with her. If I can catch her actually doing is inside I yell stop clap my hands and take her out. But I can rarely catch her pooping. When we first started this routine she did really well. The past few days though we've taken about 10 steps backward.
I really hope you can help us.

You routine sounds pretty good, you take her out regularly and praise her when she does the right thing.

When you do catch her doing it and clap your hands does she realise she has done something wrong or does it seem like a game? (One of mine just loves people clapping their hands for some reason)

I would say just keep perservering... she will catch on eventually it's just that a lot of smaller breeds can take a bit longer to be completely trained.

My 2 are both aged over 12 months and they still have 'accidents' in the house.
Have you tried enzyme cleaners also?
This gets rid of any smell left over, plus the one I use has a lemon scent and the dogs won't go near it when I have used it.
