    Hi Mater:

    SDR is a STANDARD DIMENSION RATIO... a ratio of the outside diameter to the wall thickness of the pipe. In your case the ratio is 13.5.

    CL 315 refers to the PRESSURE RATING in pounds per square inch

    PVC is polyvinylchloride pipe.

    This type of pipe is typically used in irrigation systems.
