    Teneant in short sale
    I was just notified by telephone my landlors is short selling my home. Do I have any rights to time of residency, notification or other??

    Do you have a written lease? If you have a written lease then your lease should remain valid for the balance of the term regardless of the fact that the property has been sold.

    If you don't have a written lease then you are a month-to-month tenant and the landlord has the right to terminate your tenancy with 15-60 days written notice. The actual time depends on the laws of your state. If they give you that notice and you haven't left at the end of the time then they have to file a lawsuit to evict you.
