Give me your location (city, state)... there are agencies who help victims of domestic violence. They offer shelter, help you find a job, help with divorce and other legal issues.

If your son has an Australian passport, then you may not be able to take him to India without your husband's permission.

There are many agencies that deal with domestic violence in Australia and that provide free legal advice regarding your situation. The social worker in your local community health center should be able to assist you or refer you.

Alternatively, there is a women's help line specifically for Indian women - Women's Helpline: Monica Bhatia: Mob: 0403 895 678.

If you provide details of your location, I can help you further.
