    Should I go see my kids after signing over rights recently
    Should I go visit my kids this christmas after just siging over my rights a week ago and they haven't seen me for about 2 months? I want to go see them but I don't know if it will do more harm than good, but I don't want them to forget me! They are only three two and one!

    When you say sign over your rights do you mean they were adopted? Or do you mean that you volunterily gave up custody? Or what exactly did you sign away. Because if you truly signed away all of your rights such as to make way for an adoption then they are not your kids to see.

    Most courts will not grant a termination of parental rights (TPR). So you need to be clear what actually happened. If you did truly have your rights terminated, then they are no longer your kids and you have no rights to see them.

    I'd just like to add here that if you signed away your rights so that an OPEN adoption could happen, you'll want to check with the children's adoptive parents to see what THEY think.

    No, if you signed over your rights then normally you have no part in their life again. That is why you sign over rights.

    But except for adoption, seldom are rights allowed to be signed over and accepted by the judge, you need to give us the details of what is happening
