    Bleeding gums
Hi, I'm 30 and I I started to have bleeding gums since last June. They look red and bleed even when I pass my tongue there, but let me tell you that is just between my two up front teeth. Can this get worse in the futute? What do you advice me to do? Thanks a lot for your help!

Sound obvious I know but brush at least 2 times a day for at least 4 to 6 minutes, its so easy to brush for 1 min and think that's enough. Also floss if you can, use mouthwash and also BRUSH YOUR GUMS. Remember not to brush to hard though. I used to have bleeding gums but not any more. See a hygeinist if you can and give your teeth a proper clean and they will also give you professional advice.

Calyrain, there could be a few causes.

    1. Rough filling in between the teeth trapping bacteria and causing the inflammation. Have the dentist check and smooth the filling or replace it.

    2. Tartar under the gums. See your dental hygienist for a good cleaning.

    3. Mouth breathing due to allergies. This causes fluid to fill the tissues (usually in between the front teeth) which bleeds on light stimulation. The aerobic bacteria are increased due to the constant exposure to the air. These tissues can also be chronically dry. Taking an antihistamine or using a nasal spray may help.

Be sure you are flossing this area well. You could try using a baking soda slurry on a very soft toothbrush or your fingertip and massage gently or dip a cotton swab or your soft toothbrush in some tea tree oil and massage gently.
