Mississippi would be the only state that allows marriage without parental consent under the age of 18.

Having answered your question, I'd just like to point out that although you are pregnant, marriage doesn't have to be the answer, especially at such a young age. Marriage is difficult to manage regardless of age, more so when children are involved since you have less time for each other. Since you're both so young there's also many life changes that you would be going through, things that should be experienced prior to settling down. My suggestion would be to wait a few years to get married, if you love each other there's no reason not to wait. Divorce is far more expensive and messy than getting married.

Good luck with whatever decision you shoose to make :D

The information about marriage is not correct - there are several States where you can marry underage and without consent if you show medical proof of the pregnancy.

I know Florida and Georgia are two of those States.

    Where is OP?

Would it help if I actually read the question?

Then it's Florida and Georgia. NJ but an application has to be filed with the Court and approved by a Judge.

After the child is born: "Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland and Oklahoma allow pregnant teens or teens who have already had a child to get married without parental consent. In Florida, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, the young couple must have authorization from a court. Maryland requires that the minor be at least 16. Even with parental approval, many states will require court approval when a person is 16 years of age or less. "

Of course getting married solves no problems and presents an additional set of new problems to face on top of being a 17 year old mother.

I'm sorry if the info I provided was incorrect, I got the info from the following website.
Marriage laws | LII / Legal Information Institute
I was unaware that being pregnant made a difference in the legal age.

No problem - when it comes to legal advice some sites are more comprehensive and up to date than others. Sometimes it's hard to know which is which.

And, of course, I'm in the US and this has been asked before.
