    15hp ovc briggs stud pulled out
    I have a 15hp briggs with the ovc the rocker stud pulled out of the block. I ran a tap in but just won't stay tight pulled out.. any suggestions how to fix it?? I see they make a alum. Thread repair like a epoxy any one have luck or ideas? Thanks

    Hi,
    You did not state a model, so I do not know whether you have a 28 cu. in. or 31 cu. in. but I would not use the product stated. Take you stud to your nearest NAPA or similar auto supply and get the HeliCoil insert kit appropriate for your application. It will be more expensive, and contain more parts than necessary, but is a better bet for a successful repair. The alternative is to have the same done at a well equipped shop (mower or machine) and I think you will simply not have parts. Personal experience is that the machine shop will be the least expensive and the qualifications of the repair person will probably be better.
