I just installed a new toilet and ran across a few issues , (one) the flange doesn't seem to be attached to anything, it was kind of pasted to floor with a concoction kind of like wax ,leaving to new toilet wobbleing and you can actually pull the toilet up, I have two spots on the flange that would maybe be able to use a anchor bolt but is that how its usually connected, don't want to tear it out without knowing,lol.(two) the flange rest on top of tile leaving about a 1/4 inch of space under the remainder of the toilet , what is a simpl way to fix this, thanks guys for your help in advance.

Yes, the flange should be screwed to the floor. Remove all of the remaining wax ring. You should find four beveled holes for securing the flange. If the ceramic tile blocks the hole drill it out with a spear pointed glass drill drill bit. These are available at home centers. They work very well for drilling tile. They don't last very long but are cheap. Screw flange to floor then install new wax ring and reset toilet.

If you're concerned aboutv the flange being so high it will interfere with the installation you should have no problem there. There's a 3/4" lip on the base of the bowl that raises the bottom of the toilet up. There's also a 3" horn that will set below the floor line to direct the discharge downward. Just follow Heralds advice and secure the flange to the floor. Good luck, Tom
