    The earth's diameter
    The earth's diameter is of the order of magnitude of 10^7 m. The sun's diameter is of the order of magnitude of 10^9 m. The radius of the earth's orbit around the sun averages out to be about 10^11 m. Calculate the following:
    a) the approximate number of earth's diameters in the diameter of the sun.
    b) the approximate number of earth's diameters in the radius of earth's orbit.

    Im having trouble understanding how to solve this. :(

    Or in words;

    If one box is 50 cm long, and apples of 5cm diameter are to be put in it, you have 10 apples in the box, that is 50/5.

    The same thing applies for b).
