    Very old painting
The picture downloaded is, looking at the clothing and hairstyle, from the Napolionic era. It is really old. Probably 1850s or earlier. The frame is magnificent gesso on wood. There was a scratch on the shoulder and I brought it to be repaired, but all they did was paint over it with a very ugly swath of brown paint. I haven't been able to discover a signature. I considered selling it. Any ideas ? The rest of the condition is really great.
