A way to start a flooded engine
    Hi, All

After cleaning the Throttle Body with throttle body cleaning spray, most likely the car won't start (just like my) since the engine may get flooded. One way I started my car (1992 honda civic 4d auto 120000mil ) was to 1) pull the plugs and leave the cylinders open for whole day.2) change the plugs with the brand new ones.3) Turn the key to"start" while you floor the car. Keep this way for 10-30 seconds (it won't start easy). Then car started. Hope this helps.

One problem now is the car shakes while waiting in traffic. It feels shaking in a forward-backward fashion. Plus it refuses to go to next gear easily unless the RPM reaches over 3000rpm. Any idea as what's wrong?

    Thanks.

I had a car that did that shaking thingy. It was a broken motor mount. The mechanic didn't even have to put it on that computer. Most cars nowadays require a change of transmission fluid and filters after 100000 miles. You have done that right? Check your owners manual and if all checks out thataway. Well I'd take it to a recommended transmission repair shop for a checkup.

    Hi, Cedarln2265,

Thanks for your suggestions. I change transmission fluid every 30000-40000mil. The transmission was re-built at just 30000mil (three months after I bought it used. Very bad luck). Motor mount might be broken as you suggested. I will check it up and let you know.

TKs also just remembered Fuel filters getting messy due to the ethanol in the gas. It appears that it cleans everything in the fuel system and you know what happens when the fuel filter gets messy, yup motor acts up Also it eats spark plugs so my mechanic recommend the platinum ones.
