No, she cannot FORCE you to sign the papers. That is up to you. However, why do you want to keep this baby?

Do you realize how hard babies really are? No, probably not, you are only 15. I thought I knew when I had my first one and I was 22 then. I was so wrong.

How are you going to afford this baby? You can't get a full time job at 15, and even if you could you would not be able to afford the baby and childcare.

You really need to sit down and think about how hard and how expensive raising a child is. There are many wonderful people who cannot have children of their own who would love to adopt. There are even open adoptions now where you can remain a part of the baby's life.

But at 15 I really don't see how you are going to do this alone.

At 15 years old I think it is great that you want to keep your baby and that you do not want to give the baby up. Some teenagers wants to take the easy way out and wants to get rid of the pregnancy and do not even get their parents involved. That I must say is good that your mom knows about your pregnancy and that she is helping you with the decisions that you need to make. I definitely agree with J9 that you should think long and hard on what you want to do. I would even look into open adoption so you can learn about your child and keep intouch with your child if this is an option. It would definitely be a learning experience. Although you have been having that right now. Now if your mother is willing to help raise him and be by your side through this whole thing that adoption would not be an option but this is not really your mothers responsibility. It is up to your mother if she wants that or not. In this case I think the best thing to do is adoption, of course this is your decision.

She can NOT make you give up your baby, only you can do that. I'm 17 and pregnant and I'm keeping my baby. My parents wanted me to give him up too but eventually they realized that I wouldn't and I moved out and I'm still finishing high school just fine. I work at a daycare when I'm not at school and I'll get free childcare because I work there. If you want this baby I say go for it and good luck!!
