    I typically get a refund for taxes
    What I want to do is claim exempt for 1 paycheck out of the year
    Can I do this

    If you did not have any taxable income in 2008, and do not expect to have any taxable income in 2009 or your tax withholding in 2009 is at least equal to tax on 2009 tax return, then you can claim exempt on 2009.
