    Taking a Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan off the ceiling
    Can you tell me how to remove my ceiling fan off the ceiling. I don't know how to get the cone-shaped piece that is touching the ceiling off. Thank you.

    A picture or model # would help us. Many fans have a thin ring that fits over the canopy and appears to be part of it. This ring looks like the same material but is usually plated plastic, use both hands to twist the ring counterclockwise, it will expose mounting screwes

    If there are no screws, usually there is a decorative piece covering the screws that twists off.
