Am I going through a phase?
I went to my friend's wedding last week and at the wedding reception I ended catching the bouquet and ever since I had caught the bouquet it seems like I have been feeling more amorous than normal. At the wedding reception my friend's husband father told me that the two of them had met on Match.com. So after I had found out about that I went to Match.com to just sort of browse around not particularly looking for someone and as I was looking through the pictures of men I came across a picture of one of the guys that I had dated and I was in shock to see him on Match.com because I had thought he would either be married or in a serious relationship by now. I was shocked ever since I had seen his picture I couldn't stop looking at him it seemed like he was all I could look at out of the line up of men. Almost everyday I keep looking at his picture. Last week I got a tutor for math and when I had met with my math tutor I had felt like I had died and gone to heaven because I had thought that he was so cute and it had felt like a breath of fresh air to have seen him. Then the day before that my ex boyfriend came back to work from being on medical leave and when I saw him I had felt rotten, I came home crying and feeling sick to my stomach. Is there anything wrong with me, or is this normal?

Noticing and being attracted to people, even people you're not in a relationship with, is normal.

As long as you don't ACT on your impulses, you should be fine.

PS--stop looking at your Ex. He's your ex for a reason, and there's no reason to keep peeking at him on Match.com if you're interested in keeping the relationship you have.

I think that it's called "bridalboquetitis".

It happens to, generally, young women who are romantically inclined after the marriage of a close friend and the symptoms are rushes of adrenalin when in the presence of attractive males, daydreaming about potential partners, and mooning over past loves.

Seriously, I just think that you've got caught up in the romance of the moment and your hormones and adrenalin have kicked in. Your mind has gone into a fantasy of what might be - what might have been - and seeing your BF has brought you down to earth. Hence the tears and guilt.

Give your BF a big hug, have a laugh at yourself and get on with your life! It's all perfectly normal.
