Are All of the Toilet Bowl Cleaning Inserts Bad for the Inner Workings of a Toilet?
    Hi, All!

I'm just wondering if all of the toilet bowl cleaners that you might place in the tank of a toilet are bad for the mechanisms in the toilet. I know that some are. They can cause certain rubber parts to disintegrate or not work as well, more quickly then they normally would.

Any good kinds that can be placed in the tank?

    Thanks!

    Hi Clough...

You can try this... it will not damage internal parts. You can try it for 4.99 shipping only (they are offering it for free at the above site) and see what you think.

This gets inserted into the refill tube in the tank... very simple install... PROMISE!

I have a manual and it states "Warning! Do not use in-tank bowl cleaners. The use of high-concentration chlorine or chlorine-related products can seriously damage the rubber / plastic fittings in the tank. . . . (plus other remarks about *fittings*)" The Kaboom contraption dispenses its chemical through the "overflow" or fill tube and so bypasses the fittings. Regards, Tom
