    Outdoor unit
    Went back out to reexamine outdoor unit - heard the humming noise, but while out there heard a clicking sound and a louder humming noise - thought the fan should have kicked on and didn't. Checked the circuit breakers - not tne problem...

    Here is my repost to you. My advise is the same as before. If you are not capable of testing the capacitor,motor and other components in the outside unit you will need to call for On Site Srevice since I cannot fix it long distance from here. Sorry.



    It sounds like the run capacitor or the motor itself in the outside unit is defective from your description. You will need to test the various components and replace the defective one (s).
    .
    Also look inside the unit with the power off for any loose or burnt wires.
