    Grouting 3/8" stone mosaics
An installer is having a tough time grouting 12x12" sheets of 3/8 x 3/8" stone mosaics because the chips are adhered to the mesh with very tight joints. I have explained that he must use unsanded grout, but feel that there must surely be some more useful information I can give him! He says it's impossible to get the grout in. They are being installed on the floor, though there is also a decorative band of these mosaics on the wall. The problem doesn't seem to be with the setting, but mainly about the grout. Any suggestions will be gratefully received!
    Thanks, PP

All tight grouts joints should be unsanded grout Period

12x12" sheets of 3/8 x 3/8" stone mosaics because the chips are adhered to the mesh with very tight joints.

Explain Chips Its 12x12 sheets and you set them. So what's the deal there? The Mesh pre sets the grout joints not to mention it take a year setting them one by one in the 1" pieces. My worry here is what kind of an installer is he?

Blue Stone over 1/2" gravel or sand? [ 2 Answers ]

I'm laying 1" Blue Stone. I already have a good base (4" -6") of crushed limestone, I've been told I should now use Sinter stone(1/2") by some and sand by others, before laying my stone. It seems each comes with it's own pros and cons; what do you think?
