    Youth and Social Work
I have been studying Social Work, and my paper asks us to find certain issues, I have found a few issues relevant to my question but I feel that with help I can find something better. The question is

BY FOLLOWING THE PAPER FOR A WEEK:

IDENTIFY AN 'ECONOMICS-FOCUSED', ISSUE OF Relevance TO YOUTH WORKERS AND/OR YOUNG PEOPPLE.

    DESCRIBE THE ISSUE...

WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE? IF POSSIBLE DESCRIBE THREE

WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS FOR THOSE WHO WORK WITH YOUNG PEOPLE?

If I could have several answers by different people it would help write a really great paper,

    Cheers

    Hi, Emhi5!

It would help us to help you the best if you would list the issues that you've already found, please? We help people with homework if they've already shown us what they've come up with answers themselves.

    Thanks!

    Hi Clough

Well an issue would be for example teen drinking

Implications, if they start drinking younger, they are more likely to have a drinking problem when they are old...

It can become serious if they consume large amounts at a young age, their brains will start to become unfocused... they will no longer have motivation to attend school, so they drop out. This can effect their future dramatically... They won't be able to get a job so they start relying on the 300 dollars centerlink gives them a week... That will go straight to another slab of beer, so then they result to crime... to be able to pay for things

The implications it has on those who work with young people are as follows:

When a young adult consumes alcahol at a young age, over time it affects the brain dramatically... attendance between social worker and client are a 3-1 ration of the client showing up. The client can become aggitated easily, which can sometimes result in violence

    Hi, Emhi5!

It looks like you done some good work there. Needs a bit of polishing and organization, but it's a good start.

Did you find that information about which you're writing in a newspaper?

    Thanks!

Is there a specific format that you're supposed to be using for this assignment? Also, it's important, if you quote from a published document, to cite the source of where you obtained the quoted material.

    Thanks!

No there is no specific format we are required to use.

I understand about the quoting however everything I have said, I've never directly quoted. I read the article and to completely summerise it into my own words. Which is what we are supposed to do. There should be no bibliography as everything is supposed to be summerised into your own words.

Okay, then let's work on putting your paper into an improved format and organization.

Do you have to have a title for it?

    Thanks!

May I suggest a case study also.

There is also some interesting nuggets on this topic in daniel goldmans 'social intelligence' and social intelligence..

He makes a referance to the simbiotic relationship that sometimes occurs between social worker and client..

Also the there is the family background to consider and if the client is from a poor/wealthy background.

Then, how about re-working what you've written so that it looks and reads the best?

    Thanks!
