    Voice Lesson
Ok so I am interested in taking voice lessons, I was big into choir and singing in high school and was one of the top singers. I am just wondering about prices, would 25$/per half hour sound a little to expensive? Or am I just being greedy  ?

    Hi, britEl!

I'm a little confused here. Are you asking about taking the lessons from a teacher or giving lessons to others yourself, please?

    Thanks!

    Hi again, britEl!

If you're in a large metropolitan area, like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles, etc. then $25.00 to even $50.00 per one-half hour, from a top-notch teacher wouldn't be unusual. Those types of fees would also be geared to those people studying operatic type of material and/or who are involved in professional theater or in professional singing groups.

In most places though, $10.00 to $20.00 per one-half hour would probably be the going rate.

Please remember though, that it's not how much someone charges that's most important, but what they give to you throughout the lesson. I charge $12.00 per one-half hour. Most of my students take an hour or more lesson, though. It's hard for us to get done, what is desired and must be accomplished, in the half-hour frame of time.

    Thanks!
