    Subletter responsibility
    I sublet my apartment to another college student for three months. She paid the rent but did not pay the extra bill for running an air conditioner. This was in the lease and she knew it but bought a windowless air conditioner. The owner saw this. Who is required to pay the extra $150 a month?

    Unfortunately you are. Small claims court is where you'll have to go if she deciedes not to pay you.
