    employment for ex-felons
in the recent economic downfall, I have found it impossible to find work as a truck driver with 15 years of experience. I am an ex-felon, having served 10 years in prison. I have been out for 2 years, worked until laid off, and with everyone else out of work, I cannot find work. I am on parole, I am subjected to random UAs several times a month, am clean, can work all hours, can work in the western region. I need work and need help finding companies that are currently hiring ex-felons who are good employees, take good care of equipment, and respect authority. Do you know of companies in the portland, Oregon and vancouver, Washington, area who are felon-friendly and hiring? Thanks for your help.:)

    Hi, Donald Kumar!

If you're asking about finding a job driving a truck in the near future, landing one is not likely to happen. It could take a number of years for that to happen again. I would suggest seeking out other types of employment. If you're not just trying to get a job driving a truck, then I hope that you'll forgive me for making that assumption.

If you are trying to find other jobs besides driving a truck, then, what types of education, job experience and other training do you already have, please?

    Thanks!

    Hi, enriquep!

I'm sympathetic as well as have empathy for you!

This however, is the thread of someone else. If you want your question to be noticed the most, than it would be best if you would start a new thread.

This place doesn't work the same way that a chat room does.

    Thanks!
