Rh- Negative; Can I still be pregnant ?
OK.. I was told I was 8 weeks pregnant, (Yet I am irregular) so I started bleeding went to the ER, was told I was Rh-negative, was injected rhogam. Dr. said I might have had a miscarriage for the little lite bleeding. Ultra sound was done; but nothing was seen. Yet to check up with my regular Dr.; So I did the next day, my pregnancy test comes out positive? My question is can I still be pregnant after getting that shot ? I feel no symptoms. I am waiting for my results of my regular dr. but I am really confused :confused::confused::confused::confused:

That shot will not hurt you. The issue with being Rh- is that IF the baby is Rh+ (the father would have to be) it could cause an issue and threaten miscarriage. It's a precaution they give most pregnant Rh- women, unless its known the baby's father is also Rh-.

    Nothing? You mean no fetus?

Pregnancy tests can still be positive if enough Hcg is in your system, even if the baby is gone. It takes some time for your hormones to get back to "normal". Some women metabolize faster than others. Technically, a Hcg level over 5 is thought of as "pregnant" even if there is no doubt the baby is gone.

Anything is possible. I know its hard, but waiting for the doctor to confirm it with you is all you can do at this point.
