    Overheating dodge
    I have a 2001 dodge 1500. In February the radiatir was replaced. Still overheating, we have replaced the thermostat, hoses, fan clutch, water pump and new heads and head gaskets. HELP!! :mad:

    Did you purge all air from the system? Did you use a 50/50 mixture of automaker approved antifreeze and distilled water? Are you using the same Champion spark plugs that came in the truck?

    You can test the thermostat by dropping it in water and bringing it to a boil and see if it opens like that. Sometimes a new thermostat is bad. My dad was a master auto mechanic, he used to test them like that, I would have to stand there and watch to see if it opened while he worked on something else.
