Do Hard Contact Lenses Change the Shape of the Front of the Cornea on a Person's Eye?
    Hi, All!

The title is my question. I've heard for decades that they do. If so, is it a permanent change? Do the hard contact lenses also cause calluses to be formed on the cornea? I also heard that about the hard contacts causing calluses to be formed.

    Thanks!

Both have been known to happen. The eye does generally come back to normal after a certain amount of time. I remember when I worked at the laser clinic. The patients that wore hard lenses had to wait a month for every year the lenses were worn for the healing process.

BTW, my section is hopping tonight! WOOT!

Yes, your section IS really hopping tonight, Momma! Got to keep you on your toes! :)

Besides that, no telling what you're going to be asked in an interview...

I think that there are a lot of questions that could be addressed on this site about sight to make it more enriched, and YOU'RE the best and most qualified person to address them personally!

Wait a MONTH for every year! That could potentially be a very long time!

Do you mean before, or after the surgery, please?

Thanks for deleting the ads, Ben! :) It's amazing how the advertisers latch onto threads so quickly!

    Thanks!

BEFORE surgery. It takes a month for every year HARD contacts are worn for the eye to take the original shape, or at least at close as it'll get.

SOMEONE gave me the authority to delete posts in JUST my section, and NOW that power is gone. I'm sad. I totally would have beat Benny to it if I still had that power. If only I had the power to BAN that person, I so would. Cause it's not just in my section...

Thanks for the explanation about the eye, Momma!

I thought that I just saw where you had edited something in Vision?

    Correct?

I'll have to backtrack to find it.

    Thanks!
