Minor refuses to exit car after accident
My daughter was hit by a car driven by a minor . My daughter was injured and her car was totaled. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated. She has ongoing medical bills. While at the hospital without my knowledge, even though my daughter was awake and I I was present they did a blood alcohol test on her.

The two girls in the other car refused to exit their car. Refused treatment. Simply refused. The police did not make them take a sobriety test or exit the vehicle.

My question is why? I suspect something was going on with the girls but I don't know.

They had liability insurance but not enough. I will receive some money from her insurance policy and some from mine because she was underinsured but I am concerned about long term care for my daughter.

I won't go into the differences between these girls except to say that my daughter is in the Honor Society and was hoping for a basketball scholarship.

She is now far behind in school and her grades have suffered. She has been unable to continue in sports.

The other girl is truant quite a bit and I understand is failing school.

    There is no comparison!

Were the officers correct or not? Is there anything I can do? After everything, this is the one thing that bothers me the most.

    Hello little:

It does sound strange to me. However, not knowing more, it would be impossible for me to tell you whether the cops acted correctly.

I think your question is legitimate. Can you afford to hire a lawyer to look into it? If you can't, then I think you'll never know. For sure, the cops aren't going to help.

Of course, if you're right, there could be a big payday ahead. That could be incentive enough for an attorney to at least take a peek into it.
